The latest trends in cold-chain logistics — an exclusive workshop in Gevgelija

On 22 April 2026, at the Paint It Black hotel in Gevgelija, the Reefer Master Class took place – an exclusive two-hour workshop devoted to the latest trends and practices in cold-chain logistics. The event offered practical solutions and advice for handling the key supply-chain challenges specific to our region and to refrigerated containers. 

The workshop was intended for companies exporting frozen food, fruit and vegetables, and for all exporters using dry containers who want to improve their logistics.

Its aim was to pass on practical insight and to introduce best practice in managing temperature-controlled cargo, reefer container technology and the correct settings for temperature, ventilation and humidity.

Participants received practical advice on preserving product quality throughout the supply chain, along with information on potential export markets and pricing conditions.

Discussion and training in cold-chain logistics are essential to the competitiveness of Macedonian exporters.

Ljiljana Lukić – MSC Serbia, a recognised expert sharing her extensive professional experience and knowledge

Dragan Ivanovski – Head of the Department for Customs Tariff, Origin and Customs Value of Goods, Customs System Sector.

The workshop was organised by the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in North Macedonia, with the support of and in cooperation with the Swiss Increasing Market Employability programme – IME and MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company – Skopje.
